It hardly seems that a year has passed since the beginning of the invitational only competition “Battle of Beadsmith“; created by Steven Weiss, hosted by The Beadsmith. The competition began in 2012 with 80 artists. This year the competition has 192 battlers from 42 countries. Each creating their unique designs, from bead embroidery, bead weaving and soutache techniques.
If you’re wondering what the prize is for the glory of winning this battle, it is nothing. Each artist creates for the glory of the art itself. There are no limits to what one can create, as long as it is with beads and you’re using the techniques I mentioned above.
So get ready to see the most stunning, amazing and truly magnificent bead work you’ve ever seen in the world, from all over the world.
Last year the “Queen” was, Alla Maslennekova of Russia.

Welcome to my handmade jewelry blog. I love making jewelry and love sharing what I've made for everyone to enjoy. My passion is to create beautiful, wearable works of arts.
I started making jewelry around 2007 and I learned how to make jewelry from beading books and searching and following many fantastic handmade jewelry blogs. . I spend hours practicing, learning and searching the internet for ideas, tutorials and jewelry making inspiration.
I’ve had the honor of being published in several national and international beading magazines and blogs. My work has been featured in top blogs and magazines such as Step by Step Wire Jewelry, Bead & Button Editors Blog, and The Beading Gems Blog and published in the Fire Mountain Gems and Beads jewelry makers’ catalogs.
