No Time to Waste

Handmade Jewelry, Other

It’s been an incredible past few weeks.  Busy Bee me.  I’ve completed the first phase of my competition piece for “The Battle of the Beadsmith”, and am very excited about the way it turned out.  Now on to phase II.

Every free moment is spent in the bead room working, especially since I went back to work full-time a couple of weeks ago, now it seems time is disappearing rapidly.  The July 10th deadline is just around the corner and there is still lots of detailed work to be done.  What FUN!  I can’t wait to see all the amazing bead work.  Every Bead Artist from around the world will be drooling I’m sure!
Below I’ve shared a few photos from our annual family fish fry in East Texas, at Lake Fork.
This beautiful Butterfly had just come out his cocoon, the colors are so vivid!

I don’t believe I’ve ever seen a butterfly so amazing.

This wonderful Passion Flower is one of the hundreds that run along the fences at my parents home at

I even bought some home last year and now it grows onto my living room windows and creates a beautiful frame of purple flowers to see every day in the summer.  Amazing!

This is my Dad (on your right) and my father-in-law.  Dad, I’m sure; was telling how to master the art of smoking brisket!  Which he has and It was great! Brisket has been a happy addition to the annual fish fry the past two years and everyone will agree they love it.  There are never any left-overs to bring home! Darn!
I had to put in a jewelry photo too! This may even part of my phase two beginning!

Well, I’m off to get a little sleep and dream sweet beading dreams!
As always,
Happy Beading

Welcome to my handmade jewelry blog. I love making jewelry and love sharing what I've made for everyone to enjoy. My passion is to create beautiful, wearable works of arts. I started making jewelry around 2007 and I learned how to make jewelry from beading books and searching and following many fantastic handmade jewelry blogs. . I spend hours practicing, learning and searching the internet for ideas, tutorials and jewelry making inspiration. I’ve had the honor of being published in several national and international beading magazines and blogs. My work has been featured in top blogs and magazines such as Step by Step Wire Jewelry, Bead & Button Editors Blog, and The Beading Gems Blog and published in the Fire Mountain Gems and Beads jewelry makers’ catalogs.
